Look who came to school today!

We had some special visitors in school today - local fire fighters! 🔥👷🏼 They were kindly giving up their time to show and tell us about the equipment, clothing and gadgets they use to fight fires nowadays. This is because we have been studying the 'Great Fire of London' in 1666 as part of our history topic and we have been learning about how people used to deal with fires compared to now. They didn't have a fire service or fire fighters back then - just some frantic people throwing buckets of Thames water onto the flames! 💦The following pictures have questions attached - ask your child the questions to see what they have learned today! 😊
