This morning year 1 had lots of hands on fun experimenting with their sense of touch, taste and smell. Here are few snaps to show you what they did. Ask if your child can remember what they touched, ate and smelt!

This weeks superstar!

Our superstar was chosen for sitting sensibly on the carpet and setting a good example to others. Good girl!

Senses experiments!

Tomorrow morning the children will be conducting a trio of senses experiments including tasting so please could you ensure you have completed and returned the consent forms. More pictures to follow tomorrow!

Whilst the sun was shining this afternoon, we took a lovely class photo before enjoying learning some new playground games such as 'Queenie, Queenie' and 'Please Mr Crocodile'.

Our Superstar is a very enthusiastic learner and listens very carefully which means he is able to put up his hand and volunteer lots of sensible answers. Keep it up!

This is our first superstar in 1G. She was awarded this for working hard in Literacy and finishing all of her work. Well done!

'All About Me' boxes!

Welcome to Year 1!

A great big thank you to all the children and parents who took the time to create these lovely boxes over the summer. They have really helped myself and the class to learn more about the children personally and I have enjoyed looking at all the interesting items they brought in.
